Seriously?
Are people such fucking sheep that they will believe
anything they are told?
Or are they so lazy that they don’t go looking for the
fucking truth or facts on a matter?
OK, so this spawns from this article (and others like it):
I know there are two side to every argument. I know that the
truth is often overlooked to push forward an agenda.
The Left blames the Right, the Right blames the Left.
I get it.
“It’s not my fault! It’s those scheming (insert political
opponent here)!”
The point of this post is to tell you all that YOU HAVE A
BRAIN OF YOUR OWN!
Get ALL of the facts – not just the ones that support YOUR
views! A lack of well-rounded fact-based information is the same as a lie. Here
are the facts:
The House apparently passed a budget that would have covered
everything except Obamacare.
The Senate rejected it and set forth a plan to “shut down”
the government – creating mass hysteria (or so I’m told).
The blame goes back and forth, but it remains in place, with
the government as a whole, putting federal employees on furlough.
Really? The national parks are closed? The memorials and
monuments? Because every time I got to one of THOSE places, I can’t function if
there isn’t a disinterested government employee reading the funnies at his or
her desk while I walk in the woods.
So I come to you and I plead, DEMAND that Congress impose
term limits!
Vote the “career politicians” out of office! (see blog entry
entitled Sweet heady scent of November Turnovers - but always the empty stomach
in December - http://rivertouch.blogspot.com/2012/05/sweet-heady-scent-of-november-turnovers.html)
We are the people of the greatest nation on the planet! We
have control, but only if we use it. We stand by and allow the government to do
as it will, doing nothing to stop the destruction of the rights granted us by
the Constitution!
I hate the fact people bitch and do nothing to change the
situation. The complacency, the laziness, the ignorance.
All of that can be fixed! Get off your fucking ass and DO something
about it.
In some cases, I vote for the new guy simply because he is
not incumbent. REAL change starts locally and can move mountains!
